Our 2 storey department store “The Pad” in Stalybridge is our flagship store, comprising of a large furniture department selling everything from sofas, wardrobes, tables and chairs to display units and bedframes, as well as other homeware such as mirrors, ornaments, pictures and electrical items. The department store also has a children’s department and upstairs is a busy coffee shop and a wide selection of books, DVD’s and CD’s as well as vinyl.

Dementia Staff Nurse Band 5
22.5 hours per week (may be negotiable depending on the candidate)

Our specialist dementia service is rapidly expanding and we are now seeking to recruit a part time dementia staff nurse to join our specialist dementia nurse.
We focus on end of life care for dementia patients and their carers, advising on symptom management, advanced care planning, support and education. A large part of the role is in supporting and advising carers, both formal and informal.
The service is part of an integrated pathway for dementia and you will work closely with other health and social care colleagues in providing the best possible care. You will also have a role in the education of others, in order to improve the knowledge and skills of the wider community.

Day Services at Willow Wood Hospice have been undergoing major changes and we are looking to recruit a clinical assistant to join our team.
The START clinic is an innovative patient led service for people with a life limiting illness and their carers. We provide a range of individual and group interventions and as a valued member of the START team you will carry your own caseload and participate in a range of treatment sessions.
As the clinical assistant with a specific responsibility for our new community hub you will take the hub out to our local communities and promote the services at Willow Wood. This will involve driving and setting up the hub at specific venues on allocated dates. Engaging with the local community and signposting people to day services. You will be supported in this role by volunteers.
Full induction and training will be given to help you achieve the competencies for this post.
You will need to be a good communicator, be able to participate sensitively in often emotional conversations and be a good team member. You need to be a confident driver, licensed to drive a 3.5 tonne van.

Bank Speciality Doctor in Palliative Medicine
Willow Wood Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic doctor to join their medical team providing specialist palliative care to people living with life limiting illness. All our services are free to anyone living in the Tameside and Glossop area.
You will be part of a dedicated clinical team led by the Medical Director who is also employed as a Consultant in Palliative Medicine to Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care Organisation at Tameside General Hospital. Willow Wood Hospice has 12 inpatient beds and a Day Services providing physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and complementary therapy as well as a Family Support Service. We provide the full suite of physical, psychological and spiritual care needed by our patient and their families and carers at what can be a difficult time.
Willow Wood medical team also provides palliative support to the psychiatry wards of Pennine Care on the Tameside General Hospital site, especially to patients with dementia.
We care for people living with all malignant and non-malignant life limiting illnesses, and have a close relationship with Tameside Hospital and community teams.
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an understanding of MDT working. Support in developing Specialist Palliative skills will be provided to you by the medical team.

Hours: Bank sessions at weekends, with the possibility of session work during the week
