Retail Shop Manager
Band 3 - £19,737 - £21,142
Do you have the skills we need?
If you are a naturally fun, positive, dynamic, hardworking, glass ‘half full’ kind of person with previous Retail Management experience, then this could be the role for you!
We are looking for a Manager for our Hyde town centre Willow Wood charity shop. No 2 days are the same here so you will need to be highly flexible, have the ability to think on your feet and to handle change well. You will be managing a team of volunteers, without who we couldn’t operate our shops. You must have previous Retail Management experience to be considered for this challenging yet rewarding role.
Please read the job specification fully, then once you have done so, if you have any queries with regards to the role then please call Sharon Hodgkiess on 0161 330 1100 for an informal chat.
Closing date is Wednesday 22 July, interviews will take place week commencing 27 July 2020.
Band 6 - £30,401 - £37,267 (pro rata)
Part Time – 18 hours
Willow Wood Hospice is set in a tranquil location in Ashton under Lyne and serves the population of Tameside and Glossop. We see anyone with a life limiting diagnosis including cancer, respiratory, cardiac and progressive neurological conditions.
We aim to help everyone who passes through our doors to attain the best possible quality of life. Our care whether it be physical, psychological, social or spiritual also extends to families and carers.
We provide a comprehensive range of day services including our START clinic, dementia nurses, family support and medical outpatients. We also have a 12 bedded Inpatient Unit.
We are currently reviewing all our services to work more closely with our community partners in providing excellent coordinated end of life care
Due to retirement, we are now looking for a physiotherapist to extend our therapy team. You will work across all areas of the hospice, both current and those developed in the future, meeting the therapy and rehabilitation needs of our patients, and supporting families and carers. You will work closely with the Band 6 OT and assistant practitioner
You will be fully integrated into the day services clinical team, which includes nursing staff and clinical assistants as well as the therapists. You will also offer a physiotherapy service to inpatients as part of a coordinated rehabilitation programme
We are looking for someone who has a real interest in palliative and end of life care, is keen to take a holistic approach to their practice and has developed skills across professional boundaries in order to meet patient need.
We can offer a lovely working environment with free parking, subsidised restaurant, access to funded training, clinical supervision and appraisal, and the encouragement to develop your skills and knowledge. It is an exciting time for the hospice as we look to expand and develop our services.
