Wills Months

Making a Will is easy - do it in Wills Month to help your local Hospice

#We spend our lives working hard to care for our families, and by making a Will you are ensuring that your care will continue when you are no longer with them.
Not only that, but having a Will makes sure that they won't have any extra stress and worry at such a difficult time. It will give you peace of mind to know that they will be provided for and that your wishes will be respected.
If you, like many of us, have been putting off making a Will, take advantage of our Will Months when local solicitors will not charge you a fee for a simple Will, asking for a donation to Willow Wood instead.
We have two this year, the first coming up in April. This will give you time to take stock of your possessions and decide how they should be shared with loved ones.

You may have a house or flat, a car, shares or investments, savings plus, of course, your personal possessions. All of these are known as your estate.
By making a Will you are ensuring that when you die your estate is shared according to your wishes. This is even more important if you have children or grandchildren, if you own a business or property, or have savings and investments.
If you don't have a Will then your estate will be divided according to pre-set rules. Your partner, whether you are married, in a civil partnership or living together and your children and step-children may not automatically inherit.

During April and November we are working with a number of local solicitors who are freely giving their time to help the Hospice. Instead of a fee they will ask that you make a donation to Willow Wood.
For a simple single Will they will suggest a donation of £80 or £160 for a pair of mirror Wills. Of course, if your needs are more complex there may be an additional charge, however, the solicitor will be happy to discuss this with you.
Find a full list of participating solicitors and will-makers here.
You do not need to have had any relationship with Willow Wood to take advantage of our Will Month, and you are under no obligation to leave us a Gift in your Will. However, if you wish to support our care in this way we would be very grateful.
