Latest Garden of 1,000 Lights
It's the switch on at the end of the Winter Fete!
Towards the end of the Winter Fete, as the sun sets at around 4.30pm, Willow Wood patron Mark Llewellin will bring our beautiful gardens to life, as he performs the official switch-on of our magical Garden of 1,000 Lights.
It is a wonderful spectacle, as twinkling lights twine around trees, glowing stars hang from branches and spotlights illuminate the landscaping, and you are invited to view this winter wonderland between 5-8pm every Tuesday and Thursday from 20 November until 20 December.
Event organiser Chris Hayden said: “We had hundreds of people through our doors last year to view the lights, and are expecting even more this year.Entry is free, but there are delicious refreshments available. We’ve already got 1,300 home made mince pies ready, there’ll be yule log, mulled wine, hot chocolate and Baileys plus, this year, a special Winter Cocktail.
“It’s also an ideal opportunity to view the Light Up A Life Book of Memories; and if you’d like a loved one’s name inscribed prior to your visit, you can do this online by going to our website, www.willowwood.info - although please remember it will take a week or so before you will be able to view your dedication.
