Your small change means an enormous amount to us!
Ever wonder what those odd pennies dropped into a collecting can mean? An awful lot!
When you pop your change from a round at your local, or after paying for your newspaper into the countertop charity can, do you ever wonder what it means to the charity? Well, if the can is for Willow Wood it means a great deal. All those odd pennies really do add up. In the last financial year alone the total raised from our green collecting cans was just 45p short of £23,225, an amazing sum. To put it into perspective, that would pay for over 88 hours of loving care for our patients and their families – care that is so vital to our community. So if you have ever put your change into one of our cans, or if you have one in your shop, pub, restaurant or reception please pat yourself on the back; you are helping us maintain our specialised services to the people of Tameside and Glossop. If you do have a business and would like to support us in this way just give the fundraising department a call on 0161 330 7788. That’s all you have to do. One of our volunteers will then bring a can out to your premises and will call round to collect and bank the money on a regular basis. We can also provide cardboard loose change boxes for your home if you’d like to support us and keep your mantelpiece free of piles of pennies at the same time!
