Our Thanks To You!
So many people in our community fundraise for us - here are just a few of them. Our sincere and grateful thanks to you all.
Willow Wood has fantastic support from our community, and is always very grateful to each and every person who raises funds for the Hospice in so many different ways.
There have been some whopping donations over the past few weeks, including £1,500 raised at the Ken Coleman Memorial Night. This was a wonderful night of entertainment at Denton Labour Club, headed up by Jason Luis, compere Jay and some great tribute acts. Our thanks to his wife Margaret and son Jason Coleman for all their hard work in organising the concert and to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.
Jo and Chris Hinds organised another fun quiz at Curzon Ashton, and this time raised £1320!Our thanks to them, to the sponsors of the quiz, Adaptive Money, and a special thank you to Chris Moulton who ‘volunteered’ to have his beard shaved off, raising the incredible amount of £407 which went towards the total for the evening.
Another one of our supporters, Wayne Ghosh from Body Advance Massage in Glossop, is supporting us in several different ways.A committed member of the 99ers Business Club, Wayne will be volunteering to help in our Glossop shop to mark National Massage Day on 16 May.He is also undertaking a Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle ride later in the year to raise funds for Willow Wood and if you’d like to sponsor him just go to www.virginmoneygiving.com,, enter his name and you’ll be taken to his fundraiser page.
