Love Hallowe'en? Then this new event is for you - a fancy dress sponsored walk and a VIP after-party!
Hallowe’en is the one time of the year when everyone – and particularly children - enjoys dressing up, and Willow Wood have come up with a super spooky sponsored walk and party for the occasion.
On Sunday 29 October the streets around Dukinfield will be patrolled by a posse of monsters and mummies, witches and warlocks, zombies and vampires, all raising funds for their local Hospice.Starting at 5.00pm the 5k fancy dress parade will wend its way in a circular route ending up back at the starting point, Dukinfield Town Hall, where the ghosts and ghouls will gather for a groovy get-together.There’ll be dancing, a hot pot supper (with veggie alternative), medals for everyone who has taken part and cash prizes of £50, £30 and £10 for the three best dressed little monsters.
Chris Hayden explains “I love Hallowe’en, so what better way to raise some funds for Willow Wood than by having a Hallowe’en party. It’ll be frighteningly good fun, first of all there’ll be the spooky spectacle of hundreds of children, teens and their parents showing off their costumes on the sponsored walk. Everyone who enters will receive a glow stick or bracelet, water for the walk and a medal at the end.
“Then there’ll be the optional VIP party, although numbers are restricted to just 250 for this, so please get your entry forms in as soon as possible. We’re really going to town with this. The room is being professionally dressed by our sponsors Rumours Entertainment, we’ve got a ghoulishly good themed disco and a two course supper as well! Its fantastic value, and it really will be fun for all the family”.
Booking is available online, either by going to www.willowwood.info and following the link on the home page, or by going to the dedicated Monster March site, www.monstermarch.co.uk. Alternatively, ring the fundraising office on 0161 330 7788 and a form will be sent out to you.
As a special thank you from Willow Wood, anyone who raises over £50 in sponsorship can get their entry fee refunded.Chris said “We appreciate that entry fees can add up for a family, so in addition to the three prizes of £50, £30 and £20 which we are giving for the best dressed, we will also refund the entry price to everyone who raises over £50! It’s a ghastly good deal for a spooky shindig!”
